Is your most valuable employee helping you... or hurting you?

Many of you have an employee who doesn’t share your vision, doesn’t produce much of anything, and represents your company poorly – in fact he/she is turning away customers left and right. (Why would anybody keep such an employee?)
The employee I’m speaking of is your web site. He isn’t selling anything, nor engaging new business, nor even stirring any interest in your services. Your employee needs to either be fired and replaced, or trained to be a productive member of your staff.
Your web site employee should be as skilled and engaging as a good promoter (or TV ad) – in fact, more engaging because people can control the conversation, tell him what they want to hear and see, and when to shut up. Your web site is a safe place for them to interact with your company because they are in control. Now, that’s good and bad. If you have an engaging site they’ll stay and look around, and possibly take action. If not they’re gone in 10 seconds! Don’t think, “I have a serious, corporate business. I need to look serious and corporate, dry and static.” You never see a TV ad like that… for any company. The web is no different. You have to engage a prospective client/customer and make them feel like you and your business are special, that you have something unique to offer them.
Your site needs to delineate you from everyone else. You are fun to work with. You see your clients in a positive light. You like what you do and you’re good at it! It communicates that you are different, special, worthy of doing business with.
Your site, your greatest salesperson...
We develop your site to "meet people where they live", to engage them on their level, to talk to them about what's really important to them!
We start by making sure your site is relevant to them and their desires. Then we go to work creating an online environment that will satisfy and delight them, leading them by the hand to take action.
Once we get your web site functioning as your most valuable employee he/she will be making sales for
you, representing your company well, and answering vital questions.
He'll be making money for you during business hours and after hours, even while you sleep.
And he'll never call in sick or ask for a raise.
